We wish to understand how membrane trafficking and membrane transport processes shape the maintenance and adaptive homeostasis of mammalian cells, including neurons and their synapses. We are particularly interested in the metabolic and signaling functions of lysosomes in these responses and their dysregulation in neurodegenerative diseases.
